Adoption of eCos RTOS shows sustained growth
The LinuxDevices 2006 embedded survey
points to a continued increase in open source operating system adoption, whilst proprietary OS's decline.
The survey reveals that eCos usage has grown to nearly 5%, up from 3.2% in the previous year's survey.
This upward trend is also reflected in the findings of
CMP's 2006 embedded market
survey which reports a usage of 6%, up from just over 4% in the 2005 survey.
